Thanks to dedicated crew members Eric & June Ritter and Cliff & Rikki Scott who came to Utah early to help prep and pack up #444, Team Vesco arrived on the salt in time for inspection on Tuesday afternoon. The weather was glorious, the salt was great, all systems were "go." For this meet Little Giant sported the Spangler/Vesco Chevy 371 ci. small block. It had been ten years since the Chevy had run on the salt. Even though the meet was shortened by two days, Dave Spangler was able to pilot this missle to 296 mph on only the second run! Team Vesco discovered the ignition and tach were on the blink. We estimate a 335 mph run next time out. The current record is 323 mph.

Team Vesco would like to thank its dedicated crew members. Eric and June Ritter traveled from New York City for all three Bonneville Racing events. We could not have done it without them. Cliff and Rikki Scott came from Dana Point, CA a few days early each time to help us pack up. Dave's daughter and son in law, Tracy & Kreg Fugate, friends, Bill Lee, Mike & Jean Yurosko were terrific crew members. Thank you all!!

| The engine bay is a very tight fit for the Fuel Injected Duttweiler 371 c.i. Chevy small block. The engine produced 645 hp on gas @ 8000 rpm. With a new ignition unit we expect some record breaking speeds (335 mph) next time out. |
