TEAM VESCO's #444 was on display at the 2011 SEMA show, (Speciality Equipment Market Association) in Las Vegas in the Save the Saltbooth. Over 100,000 attend the annual event which is considered the premier automotive specialty products trade show in the world. SEMA began in 1963 when a group of small manufactures who were suppliers of performance equipment for early hot rodders organized their fledgling industry.
Save the Salt
SEMA's founders were also landspeed racing enthusiasts and were key in promoting the first hot rod speed trials on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Today the Salt Flats are in serious danger of being depleted as the salt crust thins. The Save the Salt display at SEMA provided informative materials to increase the public's awareness of the potential loss of this national treasure and how it can be reversed. TEAM VESCO thanks Save the Salt and SEMA for their efforts on behalf of hot rodders all over the globe.
